I came home last night around 9:30 (following a yummy dinner with Adrienne) to a mailbox FULL of catalogs. Newsflash from the Department of the Obvious -- we're in a recession and I'm strictly prohibited from shopping. That didn't stop me from looking. Eastbay, Victoria's Secret, Crate and Barrel, Frontgate, and JCrew all went in the recycling bin the trash room (sorry Retailers!). I did let Lands End and Lands End Home through the front door. Very cute, very affordable. Check out the "Fit 1 Modern" pieces.
This week seems to be dragging on and on. I'm looking forward to the weekend. We'll head out to the house on Friday night. We have dinner guests coming over on Saturday night, so I'm busy planning the menu and trying to get a Fresh Direct order in for Friday delivery. It should be 50 on Sunday, so I think a walk/run around Town is in order and maybe we can even squeeze in a walk on the beach! It's hard to believe that we were deep in our home search this time last year.

I called all of the catalogs and stopped them. It's time to be green, save trees, and save money. Maybe this way the retailers won't go out of business while contributing to the overflowing landfils and can actually afford to pay just one more person's wages and prevent one more statistic.
